Why Caisse Commune

Trust is the heart of a tontine

When the group’s money goes through one person and one notebook, doubts creep in. Caisse Commune makes everything visible, simply.

A notebook kept by a single person

A cash ledger visible to every member

“Who has paid this month?” on the WhatsApp group

Everyone’s situation, up to date in real time

Chasing late payers one by one

Automatic reminders before and after the due date

Accounts nobody can verify

Every entry dated, signed and impossible to erase

Features

Everything you need to manage the group’s money

Built for treasurers who want to save time, and for members who want to be able to check.

Contribution tracking

Set the amount and the rhythm (weekly or monthly). Everyone sees what they have paid, what they owe, or what they are ahead.

Automatic reminders

Two days before, on the day, then three days after if it is late. Only to those who have not paid yet.

Transparent cash box

Balance and ledger visible to all members. An entry can never be edited or deleted: a mistake is fixed with an adjustment.

Several currencies

Members abroad pay in euros while the cash box stays in FCFA. The rate is locked and shown with every payment.

Clear roles

Administrator, treasurer, member: everyone has the right permissions. Only officers record money in and out.

Phone sign-in

No password to remember: a code arrives on the phone. A member added to the group can sign in right away.

How it works

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

    Create your organisation

Your church, your mutual society or simply your circle of friends. Sign in with your number, in a minute.

  2. 2

    Add your members

A name and a phone number are enough. Choose the treasurer, then set the amount and date of contributions.

  3. 3

    Record, the rest follows

The treasurer enters each payment. Balances, late payments and reminders update by themselves.

Who it’s for

For every group that pools money

An organisation can hold as many groups as needed, each with its own members, currency and cash box.

Tontines among friends

Rounds in turn, monthly pot, tracking who has received and who still has to pay.

Associations

Member contributions, board expenses, accounts presented at the assembly in one click.

Mutual societies

Regular contributions and aid paid to members, with a complete history.

Churches

Several groups in one organisation: choir, youth, women, each with its own cash box.

Security

Your money stays yours, your accounts stay right

Caisse Commune never collects or holds any money: the app records the payments you already make (cash, Mobile Money, bank transfer) and makes the accounts verifiable by everyone.

Tamper-proof ledger

The database itself refuses any change to or deletion of a cash entry.

Separated data

Each organisation’s data is isolated at the database level: no other organisation can see it.

Controlled access

One-time sign-in codes, revocable sessions, and different rights for each role.

Frequently asked questions

You may be wondering…

Does the app handle the money for us?

No. Money moves as usual (cash, Mobile Money, bank transfer). The treasurer records each payment and each withdrawal, and everyone can look at the cash box.

Do members have to create an account?

Not in the usual sense. The administrator adds a member with their phone number. The member then signs in with a code received on that number, without a password.

Can a member abroad contribute in euros?

Yes. The payment is converted into the group’s currency when it is recorded. The euro–FCFA parity is applied automatically, and the rate stays visible in the ledger.

What happens if there is a data-entry mistake?

An entry cannot be erased: that is what guarantees trust. A mistake is corrected with an adjustment entry, also visible to everyone.

Can we manage several groups?

Yes. An organisation (a church, an association…) can contain several groups, and the same person can belong to several organisations.
